Elk, or “Wapiti”, seen on a trail just outside Jasper township, Alberta. This bull was photographed just before sunset in late Summer. I had a few more miles to hike on my last day in Jasper. This animal was blocking the trail and watched with apparent amusement as I worked my way around him.
