New Zealand Fur Seal. This young male was photographed on the Kaikoura Peninsular, South Island, New Zealand. Mostly, they bask on the rocks, but are happy to relax on the grassy shore too. Just don’t get between the Seal and the Ocean - they can move remarkably quickly on the land.
